Thematic One

Working without a model gives me the opportunity to concentrate even more heavily on composition, which I love. This drawing is of my drafting table against the window in my studio. It's pastel on gessoed paper.

I'm not overly pleased with how this turned out. The value structure is poor and I probably should have used some kind of straight edge for the longer lines. I actually ended up doing a ​black and white version of this, just to explore the values further...
