At this point I've decided to severely crop all my drawings from the model. This is pastel on gessoed paper.
Early in the drawing I've just laid down the underlying colors and large forms.
Here I've gotten a little more specific with the shadow shapes, but I'm not happy with the colors or the value. The lights and darks are far too similar.
Finally nailed the value structure! I also toned down the colors so they look more natural.
